You can gain muscle mass and lose body fat by increasing your relationship intelligence!  The ability to connect well with others reduces a huge source of stress called relationship stress.

Relationship, work, financial, physical and environmental stressors all contribute to your overall stress load.  This article focuses on the relationship component.  If you can’t afford to lose muscle mass and gain fat particularly in the abdominal area, you’ll need to learn how to communicate in relationships.

How does relationship stress affect metabolism?

The more stress or number or stressors you have, the more your body is in a catabolic state (breakdown of muscle mass).  If you are one of those fortunate people who have fewer stressors than others, your body will be in an anabolic state (building recovery of muscle mass).  Working out is catabolic; sleeping is anabolic.  You can quickly see what would happen if you worked out hard and got minimal sleep.
